Well started the tear down yesterday and I figured the swing arm and shocks would be a good place to start. So far so good...got the shotgun compressor installed and Im about to throw the new swing arm on. Glad to have my Clymer, comes in handy.
This is going to be a long multistage process, tins going out for paint, changing out calipers and rear lines, RSD rocker and cam cover, Rear sprocket change, detail and clean everything before reassembly...hell Im even kicking around maybe getting a set of mini cholos.
Your bike looks fantastic to start with. Looking forward to the final results. Are you reversing the colors on the tins? I thought I have seen where you have mentioned doing so in another post a while back.
The stock one just had chrome covers, switching to a full chrome plated one.

Im sticking with black & wht two tone but Im going to flop the colors with candy black and pearl baby metal flake white.
I want to Shotgun my Fatty but the cost stops me. I still want to powdercoat the front forks and get black anodised rotors, then a new exhaust and dyno tune. Damn, I should have bought a custom bike off E-Bay.

Wow! The current version will take some beating! Look forward to seeing your progress. Beware: The cholo disease is catching!!

Kinda like ordering jack from the hot blonde Hooters waitress, then having the dude, manager drop off a couple well tequila shots by mistake!! Blech!!!!!!!!
