Finally decided to take the plunge and bag out my heritage. I wanted to keep some of the vicla theme, so I sourced out some long bags from Arlen Ness, and all the associated goodies. Problem was that it was all touring bike parts. The bags fit fine with the softail adapter kit, but the fender didn't, at all:
So I chopped it up, and stretched it a bit to fit the wheel base of the softie:
The profile ended thus:
Then I threw a little paint at the whole works this weekend, and got to here:
Still have a few brackets to make, and the wiring, but it's coming together like it was in my head! Hope you all like it.
Very nice. I luv what you did. This is where mine is at right now in the shop only with some RSD apes. I do have to pick up the true duals yet but since I will need a dyno tune I am not in a hurry. What length are yours? 36" or 39"?
As it has been said on here already, not usually a big fan of bags, but you did ahell of a job and I love the color dont see too many bike up my way with that look, good on ya.
