Default Rotor install

Hey Guys – pretty much a new newbie when it comes to wrenching on the bike (2011 Fatboy Lo) but this forum has taught me lots and I am learning along the way. I replaced the stock front rotor with a RSD Black Ops rotor 11.5”. After installing the rotor I replaced everything as it was – axle, left/right spacers, pinch bolts and torqued everything back to spec. My problem surfaced when I went to remount the caliper. There isn't enough room to get the caliper behind the fork mount. I probably need a 1/8” just to clear the fork mounts and then I am not sure if the rotor would be centered between the pads.

I noticed once I placed the RSD rotor on the hub it didn't seat quite as low as the stock rotor so I presume that’s what’s throwing things off? With all of the brainpower on this forum (and little typing this) I am hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. Maybe a spacer issue?

You didn't mention exactly which rotor you bought, but a quick look at one (actually all) RSD 11.5" Black Ops disc says:
"RSD rotors will not work with stock HD wheels"

Thanks Jam. I guess that answers the question and you are correct. Is there any solution that would enable them to work?

Maybe the center hole could be machined out. not sure if thats your problem though.
