Default 05 Fatboy ECU Relocation

Has anyone re-located thier ecu from the "stock fender" placement to another location? I have fitted a new fender and am thinking about placing in-between the tire guard and oil tank.

I'm not sure about the ECU, but that fender and paint is SICK!

I mounted my pc3 where Harley mounts the alarm. It is behind the splash guard and in front of the frame.

Sarge4life-
Thanks! The scary part is the the bike is still on the lift in the picture so not all the weight is on the tire...thanks for the post!

tk353- Did you do anything to it for the moisture? Was at the HD dealership talking to one of thier techs and that was his only thought...did you build a new mount, or use the existing one? Do you have any pictures? Thanks so much!

I did not have to use a lift. I just removed the splash guard and put on the tie raps and snugged themaround the ledge that the alarm would have sat on if i had one. You need to coat all the contacts with dielectric grease from electronic store.

Guys, the ECU is the HD computer on the fender where you plug the PCIII. The dealer uses this ECU to do their calibrations or software upgrade.
