They make LED lights to fit in the stock lens. LED's area bit brighter andbecause they have no warm uptime they go on and off virtually instantaniously. Makes it easier and faster for somebody behind you to know your hitting the brakes.
If your just looking for a brighter bulb to replace the stocker. Try going to the local Advanced Auto, or Auto Zone and see if they haveSylvania Silverstar bulbs (1157). They are brighter than normal and won't costnearly as much as a LED conversion kit.
I recently saw a deuce fender that I actuallt like. A local custom painter has a deuce that he removed the tail light from completely and cut three 1" - 1 1/2" holes in it and welded a 1" long piece of aluminum tubing into the backside of the hole w/ bullet style lenses in the recessed area. Looks DAMN slick. I personally hate the duece taillight but this one looked really good.
I'm sorry guys, I made an error in my earlier posting. Sylvania DOES NOT make a Silverstar bulb to fit a tailight (red lens). But they do make them for the turn signals and headlights.
I have tehm in my bike and truck and they are MUCH better and brighter than stock bulbs.
For the tailight they make an 1157LL bulb that's brighter, just not a big a difference from the stocker as the Silverstars are.
