I just bought Softail custom 2008 and love it, the bike has a Vance & Hines 2 into 1 pipe with buffle on, fuelpak moudle, all runs fine
I have installed a screamin eagle heavy breather filter, and bike runs fine for two days then some problems started,
When bike is at idle, revs down and the engine stops, and it take about 15 secs or more to cranking before the engine starts
But the bike runs fine when I drive it without problems
I changed both spark plug just to take it out of my mind
Can I use your help guys, I want to take it to the dealer, but they are not very good at fixing in my area
I looked into the fuelpak web site, the setting i have is for high flow breather and were exactly as the web site says with V&H pipe is on
So I checked already
But I think the fuel map on the web site is for 91 fuel, meanwhile the fuel I used is 97
Do you think the fuel will have this big effect
I checked the DTC as I just learn how to go on this mode
And found P0373 which is crank position sensors
But the symptoms were strange to CKP
I will see if the dealer have it in stock and I will change it to see what happens
I have a 2008 FXSTC, w/ V&H Big Radius, high flow air filter and a FP. Bike ran terrible, very hot, and my ride just did not like the set up. I tried everything, and then decided to add iED's from Nightrider.com. Not sure if it was going to help, but as soon as I started her up, a new beast was born. I now have the perfect set-up, temps were reduced, solid throttle-pull throughout, and not a single issue. Best 100 bucks I ever spent!!!! Keep on trying, dial it in... ride safe!
I took it to the dealer, they said the fuelpak was causing the problem, as the disconnected and bike run fine, but they said the bike with my set up without feulpak is lean, so they gonna program it using pro tuner
I will try it tomorrow and update you
Thanks for helping me guys
The dealer remove the fuelpak and bike runs fine, the problem was from the fuelpak, I purchased screamin eagle pro tuner and they tuned the bike for me, all good now and no problems
