Default Seat post

Does removing the seat post on a fatboy lo cause any structural problem or was it to hold the coil only ? Thanks for any info.

Only there to hold the coil. Lots of people have removed it without trouble.

Like mentioned above. It only holds the coil. With it removed it really opens up the rear for a cleaner look.

Ditto and me too. It used to actually be the seat post back in the day, now it's just a nostalgic resemblance and a holder for the coil.

Get rid of it, looks better without it... mines been off for over 15k
