I've been running a LePera Silhouette with gel for about 5 years now, most comfortable seat I've ever had on a bike...and yeah, I've done all day & night in the saddle right next to my buds on their baggers...
Like I always say, seats and asses aren't created equal...
I know guys who can't ride across town without an Ultra, and I know women who ride Sportys and hardtails to Daytona...
After months of waiting, I finally was able to get the newly designed Bare Bones in my hands. I am really happy with the look, and after riding for a couple of hours today, I have to say it is more comfortable than the stock seat.
Although the production on this newly designed seat got pushed back multiple times, Le Pera was awesome to deal with. I spoke with Christine on multiple occasions to get an update, and she was very pleasant; the customer service all around was amazing. I like buying from a company that won't put out a half assed product just so the can meet a deadline...better late and perfect than early and inferior. Le Pera, in my opinion, got it right with this seat.
I don't have a Barebones but do have a 2-up Silhouette Deluxe seat, very comfortable. I opted for the leather seating area which is way more comfortable than vinyl IMO. LePera seats are top quality, no question.

I have the Bare Bones, Le Perra Maverick two up, the original Badlander and I have just brought the Mustang Vintage Solo Touring with passenger seat.
I will keep the Bare Bones for looks, short rides and shows, that's it, it's not good for long rides and touring. I am keeping the original Badlander in the cupboard just in case, selling the Maverick as it just doesn't look right on my bike, it's too bulky. I will be keeping the Mustang seats for ever, they look fantastic, are extremely comfortable on long rides and the wife and kids say the passenger seat is the best they have sat on...
You will be happy with the Bare Bones though, just don't do long trips on it.....for your butts sake..
Barebones without the gel for about 2 years now. Closest thing you can get to riding on the frame. You will get used to it , i find mine pretty comfortable now but I still say 300 miles and your gonna be walking like a cowboy.
