I know plenty of you have use them. My question is about the instructions. And the lower bracket mounting on inside of frame at rear peg, as per the instructions.
When I bolt it up like that and try to test fit the bag. The front of the saddlebag is into the upper bracket even without the bail clips installed.
If I put it on the outside of the frame at the rear peg hole, everything looks straight.
Was my mistake not throwing the instructions away from the start?
mine is a 2010 deluxe and the lower brackets mounted to the inside of the passenger pegs as per the instructions. I didnt use the spacer that was included though
make sure you have the bottom bag support bracket on the correct side. beyond that i would bolt then on any way you want to get the right look and alignment.
i have a 03 fatboy and mine are mounted on the inside and work as they should
Not much help here either. They mount to the inside on my '03 Fatboy. The instructions I'm attaching from CV's instructions do say in the text box "2008 ONLY. Insert 1 1/4" Spacer"
Already went thru this problem months ago. Be careful those 2 lower brackets are side specific if you don't get them right your bags will lean forward and look like poop! Have fun LOL

I have the 7210 for 200 rear tire. R and L marked lower brackets on the proper sides. I'll mock everything up an if it all lines up with the bracket between peg and frame, that's how I'll leave it.
