Default Quick release sissybar question

on a 2010 Fatboy do the turn signals need to be relocated to add a sissybar with quick release brackets?

Not if you don't mind grinding off about 1/8" of material from the end of the side plates. That's what I did and they fit fine without relocating the signal lights.

That might be an option. You didn't have any problems with the chrome peeling after you shaved off material from the side plates?

Nope, you touch up the edge with some silver and then a coat of clear. Looks perfect and will last a long time!

+1+1 do it slow an do not heat up the metal too much with the grinder.
Slow and in small passes. I also had a wet rag to cool it down. Works great. You will not even notice it.

Thanks guys, that's what i'll be doing, I don't like the look of the relocation stems, plus removing the fender struts is a pain in the ***.

I did the same thing, cut them down because those relo kits look like ***
