There is a small optional black mesh sock you can place on the end of the velocity stack. It's like an extra $20. I've never felt the need to run it, but I don't ride in that much dust/dirt. I've been running it for the past 5 month or so. I got to say that I love the intake. It looks awesome. I understand that other filters will offer more filtration. It also offers a lot more leg room as opposed to my previous round/stock Softail Slim intake.
Then I'm sure that the extra screen you can insert into the stack on the Wimmer one will help even more. Thanks for the input. Still waiting on a reply from Wimmer on price and availability on the colors and options I want.
