I have a FLSTC 2008 with a 2-1 header, Heavy breather II and a download. I asked Fuel Moto if they could help me out with a map to get by with. Gave them my info and they sent me a Map, not even caring that I bought my PC-3 elsewhere. GREAT Co for sure! So my question is What kind of MPG are other people getting with a tuner? After a DYNO is MPG alot better?
Hope I get some peeps!
FM is one of the best companies out there for sure.
On my 05 fatboy 95" with stage 2 (204 cams) PCIII and FM MAP I used to get right about 40 mpg cruising, if I was on it harder riding canyons it could drop to 35mpg. On my current bike a Road Glide with 103 stage 1 tuner is PV with FM base MAP and a couple data logging runs I can get closer to 42 mpg avg cruising and 34-35 mpg when pushing it
When our bike was new (07 Heritage and we ride 2up 95% of the time), pre stg1 and cams she got 38-41
After pipes, Hi-perf SE-A/C, and dyno at the 1k service she started getting 40-42.
Then around 10k miles she starting to get 41-43..
After 15k miles, I put in the cams and redynoed, she started getting at least 42-45 just putting around.
After 20k miles and since then she got 43-47 (best of 48 mpg on interstate trip) all the time, pending on if I ride in town, in the country or state roads..
So ever since we hit 20k and with stg1 stuff and cams.
She has averages 43-45 for the for the whole yr because we ride 75% in the country and around towns.
The other 25% is mostly on state road at 55-65mph and average 44-47mpg. Again mostly we do 2up ridding.
