Well I sprang for a new Deluxe and want to add some slip ons and looking at Rush or any others. Wondering if anyone can give an opinion of what they like. Thanks
Sorry to cross the stream here being a dyna and all but, I have Rush slip ons and I love them. Get compliments all the time from people trying to guess what pipe they are. They sound great, not too loud, and not quiet by any means. The finish is great and has held up well. I'd say get em if you're sold on a slip on. Otherwise, for a few bucks more, you could get a full exhaust system. I currently am in the market for a 2-1.
Good luck!
I got v&h twin slash. They have a fairly deep tone and a nice "harley" sound. I would like em a bit louder while cruising but they're good and loud under acceleration. Overall tho i love em
Not wanting to wake up the neighbors but would rather go on the louder side than quiet. Like a good rumble. I had rush 2" on my sporty and it was great. It didn't wake any body up but you definatly knew I was around.
I had a 2008 Sportster with the Rush slip-on's and really enjoyed the sound. I now have a 2013 Heritage with the 103. I'm running the stock air cleaner and Vance and Hines straight shot slip-on's with Night Rider FL-Vied-10 set at 60%.
I like the sound and the look. I suggest you search YouTube and you will find softails with both brands and you will get to listen and kinda get an idea of how they will sound.
V&H slash cuts for me too, with quiet baffles. Nice deep, throaty tone. Not stupid loud. Like their looks on bobber type bikes. Not sure if they would be your bag on a Deluxe.
