It was very empty. I had a great time regardless. Hung at the Shotgun booth for a while. Rode to Oatman and Kingman. A simple short tip to clear my head.
I haven't been in a few years and noticed there wasn't nearly as many people as what were there in prior year's I've gone. I got there friday afternoon. I had an alright time. I think I had more fun on the way up more than anything. Haulin' *** with a few bikes I caught up to on the way. The shirts were pretty weak this year. I didn't even buy one for myself. I had a custom printed one for my wife that cost me $45... and it didn't even freakin fit her! The sizing was incorrect BY A WHOLE BUNCH. Bum deal. Wasn't impressed with the turn out too much so it got into Saturday and I wasn't seeing it pick up very much. After I hit the vendors I packed it up and headed out and got home in time to hit the bar saturday night and still have some of the weekend left lol.
The wife and I both attended. First time for me but the second time for the wife. Stopped at Oatman on the way in and checked out the stores and the venders. Typical souvenir shopping but the displays where interesting. It was pretty crowded with us bikers but no problems with anybody.
Stayed at the River Palms casino and walked over to the vender area's it was crowded but not to much. I did notice that the price for a lot of things where NOT gouging prices and there where some pretty good deals to be had.
The atmosphere in Laughlin is a lot like Vegas use to be, good prices on the food and the locals did not give out an attitude. All in all a good time was had by both of us. We will go again next year.
Rode down Friday staying up until 3am. Then on Sunday after the sun started to rise, I snapped a few photos before I left for a BBQ in Las Vegas. Everything else is a blur. jk. Kuryiakyn installed new kinetic grips, bs'd and took some photos at the Shotgun Shock booth (emailed already), short rides here and there, etc. Passed on shirts, patches, etc. Also seemed like a lot less people to me.
Looked like a ghost town until late Friday and a lot better on Saturday.
I actually felt sorry for the dealers waiting in empty casinos Thursday and most of early Friday.
Vendor prices looked the same as in the past. I picked up another http://nightriderjewelry.com/ ring. My buddy said soon I won't be able to lift my hand because of the weight of them.
Outdoor bands sucked for the most part compared to previous years. A Latino band over by the Golden Nugget was worth watching for their second time at Laughlin.
Watched two older guys pass out drunk and hit the pavement, but saw no liquid courage trouble as in runs past.
Oatman looked crowded as normal though.
I think the economy left too many still hurting or worried about tomorrow.
I'll still go next year and hope to see more out enjoying themselves as in the past.
I plan on making all these runs when I retire. The sad thing is I have to plan a week's ride out or trailer the bike due to back issues. If I tried a quick hard ride out on the bike by time I got there I would never be able to enjoy myself. I would be hurting so bad and I would be popping pain pills like candy. There was a few threads going previously about staying in a Hotel while the bike sits out in the parking lots all night, anyone have any trouble there that anyone has heard about? That there would be one of my major concerns. I know how easy it is for a few guys with a pick and how they can make a bike disappear in no time flat or mess it up bad trying. If I ever to trailer a bike around the country I would probably throw a sleeping bag in the trailer and camp out like that. After past experiences I don't think I could sleep with my bike just sitting out there. I like the pics, JD's bike still looks sweet as ever and the scenery looks awesome out there too.

Super sucked. The knock-off SRV guys in front of the Belle were SO horrible I had to walk away to get out of ears reach lol.
I second that. Hopefully if enough supporters keep going it'll be back where it was again one day. In the mean time, take a ride, drink some beer, do some gambling, and enjoy a weekend away.

I saw quite a few box trailers in the parking lot of the Belle which is where I ended up parking, and seen trailers parked around here and there at other places too.
I stayed in Bullhead City at the Desert Rancho motel. Real classy place lol. I parked my bike out there and just locked the ignition and neck locked it too. It was fine, no one messed with it. I didn't hit the hay until about 2:30am and the sun is coming up by 5:15 or so, so small window left for shenanigans. Checked out in the morning and parked at the Colorado Belle fully packed up while I went into the Vendors Saturday afternoon. Had my roll bag on there, helmet, prescription riding glasses in my sissybar bag among other misc items, and my net with a few little things I bought there from the night before strapped over the bag. No one messed with it and I was in there for maybe 2 hours or so.
Cool and thanks Jessie_81. Because of what happened to me years ago down in Texas makes that my number one concern. I don't know how well this would work but I would really try to fashion or buy some kind of security by placing some kind of motion alarm on it and try and park it right outside my window, if I didn't trailer the bike to wherever it was I was going too. Isn't it a shame there are people out there that makes you worry about Chit like this? The only good thief is a dead thief. Liar's, Cheaters and Thieves are the lowest forms of life I know of, IMHO. I'm glad for all who went and had zero problems while out there.
