Default Which A/C to get?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to find an aftermarket A/C.

What is everyone running these days? I had an Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 on my Dyna. I was just about to pull the trigger on another one for my Fat Boy, but I just want to be sure that there aren't any complaints about it for these softails. Are the filters they come with washable?

I'm just trying to find something as inexpensive as possible. I found the Big Sucker, part number 18-505 for $95, which seems great to me!

Any other suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks,
Adrian

My vote is the AN Big Sucker. Here's why: their customer service.

I think pretty much any aftermarket stage 1 system will perform about as well, but when my Big Sucker cracked, I called them and they, without any request for receipt or photos, sent me one right out. No muss, no fuss.

That, to me, is worth the cost of admission.

DK customs! It prevents the engine air from entering into the throttle body that leads to excess oil in the filter.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the Arlen Ness Big Sucker.. it was almost $100 cheaper then the DK customs, although I did like the DK customs air cleaner better. Oh well. This should do for now.

Thanks guys!

"$100 cheaper". Remember, you get what you pay for....... I'm a Screamin' Eagle fan, but as long as you richen your mixture, you should be OK with any AC/exhaust combo.

I like the Roland Sands myself, but who has that kind of money? I settled for the Kuryacken, still expensive in my mind but a lot less than the RS.

Modifying the stock football and pairing it with the SE stage I A/C kit is the the least expensive and imho the best looking way to go...
