Here is the issues, I have a buddy who does all my mechanical work on my bike but has some family issues right now and don't want to bother him about my carb.
Problem:
Leaking gas from as best I can tell the back side of the carb*seems weird as there is nothing it could be coming from other than the manifold, to my knowledge being on the back side*( I checked the float bowl drain screw on bottom to make sure it was tight, looked at the overflow tube and I don't think its coming from either of the two)
When im going between gears at about 50% throttle and then I hammer down the carb chokes out for a split second and then continues fine, I can roll the throttle gently with no issues, only when Im at about 50% then I hammer it 100% this happens.
***This has only been an issues after the cams were installed***
Set up I have:
MIkuni 42, Screamin eagle ecm, Andrews 37 cams, high flow intake, short shot style pipes
OK I figure I will pull the carb apart and clean it, but where or how is this fuel leaking with just garbage in the fuel? I am trying to learn about these carbs so I know.
