Default Fat boy wheels

Hello, chrome my wheels is pretty bad.
Outer edge next to tyre chrome good, inner solid part good
it is the bit in between with the holes ,peeling chrome.
I thought about shotblasting but this would go for the parts
where the chrome has peeled.
Has anyone any idea how to remove the chrome,or how to cover
this area ?
Thanks Exhausted

Default Duct tape

Well I just went through that process but with my truck wheels. Also I have a do it yourself powder coating kit from Eastwood. The wheels were too big to fit in my oven so had to let a professional do it. If you have parts you don't want hit with the sandblasting use duct tape to cover those parts and stay away from them with the blaster. For my home powder coater they have tape that will withstand the heat of the oven so you can powder coat and then just peel the tape. Leaves a bit of residue but cleans up fairly easily. If the metal is eroded with pits as my truck wheels were that wasn't corrected but just coated over. I don't know how to correct that without too much work. They gave me assurances that the chrome will not peal any further under the powder coat and though not something for the show circuit it looks good at 5 paces.
