Last night some idiot ran me off the road and my fork needs replaced. I found a set on Craigslist for a road glide ultra. Will this work on my 2001 softtail std? I believe I have 41 mm forks they are stock. New to the harley world so any help would be much appreciated
They will fit as they are 41 mm but they are close to 3 " shorter
Don't buy from ebay chances are they will be bent I am going thru it now
I have a 2003 standard and bought a road king ft end so I speak from experience
I was going to use them anyways to see how it sat but they ended up being bent
I just bought a set from Dennis Kirk for 105 each so it came out to somthing like
210 or so with free shipping
And that's for a complete fork assembly just add a seal and oil to you lowers
For some reason they only list up to 1999 so those are the ones I went with
Just installed them
Good luck and glad to hear it wasn't major accident and your well enough to type lol
Make the idiot pay by sueing them Perhaps if there insurance goes up they may pay attention
