hey all
I am a road king owner and only driven my brothers softail a few times
I am looking at buying a 2008 heritage anniversary edition
are there any problems or issues I need to be aware of on these before I do this, the bike has only 7,000 miles on it and is unmolested, all original except for muffler change, original air, cams, tune box etc
I other ? ,are these bikes good for 2 up riding, the road king does great , my wife and I are not small by any means and want to be safe while riding
I've had no problems with my 08 Heritage. Stock pillion sucks for 2 up so I bought a Mustang wide pillon for when she rides on the back which since she got her own bike is very rare. Compared with the stock, it's like riding on a sofa.
Passenger floorboards will set you back some big cash. Adjustable ones even more.
Other than that, the Heritage does fine 2up. Certainly not a RK though.
I want one too, but after taking with several wrenches from the local HD, I will look for a 2006 or older. According to them there are plenty of issues and yes, depends on how you ride for some. But Flyby throttle, Starters, Transmissions, cam chain tentioners and Fly-wheel have all had issues on newer bikes and some of these are on mine and friends as well.

I have an 07 Heritage, and have had no issues with it. Have changed the pillion for the touring one, and have shotguns fitted. My other half is very happy, 600 miles a day no problems, and we can still walk afterwards :-)
The wife and I love our heritage. I went from an ultra limited to a softail. The softail just fit me better. The softails just feel like it was custom fitted for me. No bike I have ever sat on felt that way.
the guy sold the bike but all may work out, I have been trying to buy my brothers 06 for years
now he has decide he wans a street glide, I ma buy hi if e can work out a deal on a steet glide he seen,
his is probably the best looking soft tail I have ever seen, e has had everything put on you can and it has 6,000 miles
thanks
