Thinking of a new ride! the slim!! seems to fit and has what I am after low and floorboards!
As I am Vertically challenged (short legged) Ha
So what I am seeking is pics of slims with Apes if at all possible!!
And impressions of the slim by there owners. I will be keeping my 05 low-rider as of now
The slim seems to fit to near as perfect for me as possible also anyone make any long trips on there slim? Thank you in advance
Carl
So you got short legs but long arms?!
I've seen one or two slims with apes, looks decent, bike doesn't get ruined, but the stock bar adds to the character.
Re. Long rides I'm sure most fellow slimers would agree with me that ull need a new seat, apart from that you can clock up the hours on the saddle easily.

Just got mine yesterday. Went from a '08 softail custom to a 2010 RK classic. The RK was great and shockingly nimble. Rode like a luxury car. The only prob was that, at 5'4", I felt like a 10 yo kid that stole his dads bike and took it for a joy ride. Comfy and stable while riding but not so much at stops. So I traded it towards the slim. Got the red one. Such a beautiful bike. Feels like was made just for me(it was I guess). Not even close compared to the RK in terms of ride quality but I got used to it very quickly and now it feels great. The seat really is suprisingly uncomfortable but, again, I expect to get used to it and for my riding purposes its fine. Get one and dont look back. I absolutely love it.
I just got my new Slim last week and have only taken it on one 200 mile round trip and I love it! The stock seat isn't bad but I think I'll still add a Mustang Vintage Solo for day long rides. I love the look of the stock seat.
I'm 6'2" 200 lbs and it fits me great.
What I really like about the bike is that I feel like I sit in the bike, not on it, or above it in some cases. The other selling point was how nimble this bike felt compared to the fat boys and deluxes I had ridden. For the longer trips I find this bike suitable, but for me the seat needs to be changed. I still am not sure which direction I will go, but thinking the mustang wide tripper may be the ticket. Good luck with your decision!
