Me and my wife just got home from Gettysburg bike week. We went up for the day. On my way home at about 10:00, (this is my first time riding my softail at night, only had her about a month) i first noticed my CEL on and its like ( oh god). Then it went out. No problems with the motor at all. Then it comes back on again and i lose just my speedo lights. The actual speedo still worked, i was at 50 mph or so when i seen it go out and my needle didnt move. I also noticed during the day when i think back, my 6th gear indicator didnt work either.
I stopped to get cigs, so i pull in, turned her off, went inside, came out and started her up and not a problem whatsoever on the remaining 10 miles home. Im still under my 1000 mile warranty so ill be making a call tuesday. Just curious if i could get some insight on this. Just thinking its a short or loose connection or ground issue. Thanks in advance.

Reason: Addition
Sorry to bump this but i came across the dtc code list and instructions on how to check for any outstanding codes. What it listed is P0563(battery voltage high). Is this a good sign its possibly the voltage regulator?
I had same problems on 2011 deluxe. Headlight would get brighter for a few seconds, then speedo light would go out(speedo still worked). When speedo light was out the indicator lights would not light(turn signals still work on front & rear of bike). Also 6th gear light would not light. When speedo light came back on, sometimes the security light would come on for a second. I replaced my voltage regulator & everything is okay. I never had any indication that a code had been set.
