Taking look...
Today I will be going up to the AutoExchange Harley dealer on post here at Ramstein to check out the Breakout. After talking to one of the guys there yesterday on the phone, it got me really interested. He said that he would talk to me about the color options available for the 2014 model as well.
Told him i was interested int he 2013 but he told me that he would just run the 2014's by me incase i wanted to change my mind. Can't wait but im kind of bummed that the riding season here in Germany is winding down.
If they have what i want, im not sure if i should just hold on to my sporster until sometime next year when riding season opens back up.
The wife has given the O.k which is always a good thing.
Have a few concerns right off the bat though:
1)I won't be able to afford the Shotgun for the bike right away so was wondering if there were any other alternatives to lower/slam the bike.
2)Also have concerns with the handlebars, i want apes, way more comfortable to me and the Harley apes with stock risers don't appeal to me.
3) I want some nice looking floorboards and haven't seen anyone with them yet, and wasn't sure if there are anything are compatible with the bike yet.
4)This will be a solo ride so im hoping you can take off the extra pillion pad on the back fender and just run the main solo seat by itself.
So we shall see.

Hey Man, If you order thru Dan tell him Mark with the slim sent you and to put my refural money torwards your bike save you a $100 or so. Also if you go to: http://www.hd-rhein-neckar.com/ they have a breakout to rent so you could check it out, Also that is where you will get your bike if you get it here in Germany.
Well, for some reason i thought you could trade in your previous vehicle but it turns out you can not. So i would have to sell my sporty and im not thinking its going to happen here. Doesn't seem like bikes sell that well, so most likely ill be waiting until i get back to the states.
Today i said screw it and i went ahead and signed on the dotted line to have one delivered. I chose the Morocco Gold Pearl Breakout. My choices of colors were:
Black
Morocco Gold Pearl
Root Beer pearl (somthing like that) It looked like a very dark burnt orange almost copper.
Bike should be here sometime between November and December

2)This will provide the most trouble for you. The only way to run shorter risers without moving the speedo somewhere else, or fabbing something from scratch is to buy the cvo risers. They are currently on backorder. Hopefully this will not be the case by the time you get your bike. For me, the stock handlebars are ruining my Breakout love. Kills my back to go on long rides. I can't wait till I get the apes installed.
3)I would think floorboards off of other softails would fit. I don't believe the Breakout frame is really different in the area where the controls mount?
4)You can pull the rear pillion right off. There is a clear vinyl stuck on the fender under the seat. I removed that on day 1. There will be a single hole from where the pillion bolts up. I just put a black plastic plug in it.
Congrats on the new ride, post pics when you get it.

Should have seen chrome flake as well
I wanted ledsleds on my 48, because my feet are so damn big that they hang off so much when im riding. Just last night on my way to work on base, while merging onto the autobauhn, while leaning the bike into the turn my heel of the boot dragged on the road right before my peg scrapers did. Scared the **** out of me lol. I rode a freinds suzuki C50 last week just because he has some pretty nice looking floorboards and the ride felt so much more comfortable to be able to rest my entire foot on a flat surface instead of balancing my feet on the foot per and keeping one foot under my shifter.
