Hey all .. im looking at swapping out my handlebars and am heavily lookin at LA choppers nice curves ..
problem i have is my stock 2011 fatboy has a 1 1/4 risers .. ive heard of folks using the adaptor wild 1 sells and a "heavy duty bushing" ? not sure it that will fix my problem ...
what is my best option can i still use my stock risers or do i need to buy new old risers ?
I had the Nice Curves on my 03 Heritage Springer. They're really cool bars, and I was very happy with them.
As for your risers, I would budget to replace them. Dealing with those adapters will probably be more hassle than its worth, and the last thing you want is a problem like that turning up at a bad time, like when you're riding.
The research I've seen about them isn't good. Risers from almost any other Harley are for 1" bars so you can probably find a decent pair that were taken off and barely used.
The most solid option would be new risers. Maybe a different bar? Carlini makes some that don't step down. If u r doing a taller bar I would suggest upgrading bushing anyway. The goodentites by alloy art are rock solid
