Default Need serious help deciding

Hey I am a short guy 5'7, and trying to decide on two bikes, either Fatboy lo or Breakout. Which one you guys think it will adapt better to my frame, and as far a performance. I was set on a Fatboy lo... then I saw the breakout at the dealer and now I am stuck 50-50%, I would get them both, I swear. Help please...

Breakout. Get the one that speaks to you most. Can't go wrong with either one. Lo has more stuff available, for now. That will change.

Breakout + shotgun shock= Problem solved

I'm also vertically challenged at 5'6" and my Fatboy fits me great! I have made some changes to help things out but that's what Harley's are all about. Making it your own.

The Lo will fit you better stock but you can change things on the Breakout to accommodate. Get the one you want and if it's the Breakout make it fit.

Sit on both (better yet, ride them both!) and see which one speaks to you!

It's your scoot, so you'll have to make the choice. Some good advice has already been given - the Lo will fit you better as shipped from the factory, but there's more accessories for a Harley than for a Barbie doll or an AR-15, and you can make it into something pretty unique with a bit of time and funds.

Personally, I really don't like the Breakout. If someone GAVE me one, it'd be up for sale that instant. That's completely my own opinion. I don't like the look, and I don't like the feel. They're popular, so they do the trick for lots of folks, and that's the beauty of it.

Jam's suggestion of also looking into the Slim is a good one. I own both a Slim and a Lo. I'm 6'2, my wife is 5'6. We ride them all over hell and back. Both are so low to the ground STOCK that I can come to a stop and not put my feet down. Slow races are awesome. They're similar, but completely different.

Bottom line - go with what YOU feel is the best option for you. Go sit 'em again, and ride them if you can. See which one speaks to you loudest, but listen through the filter of "what will it be", not "what is it right now". In another thread, someone said something like "we get a bike based upon a look, without thinking what we want it to be" - saying a solo bar hopper is that, not a cross-country cruiser. Not without a lot of work, anyway. Match it to what you NEED in a bike. Strike a balance of form and function. You'll be happiest that way.

Anyway, just for kicks, here's a pic of the Lo and the Slim:

I favor one over the other but I'm not even going to bother. Try to ride them both and then keep visiting them until one chooses you.

I'm in agreement with Jam436 and Ragnar. As the owner of a 2013 Black Denim Slim, I too, think you should sit on one(Slim) and smoke them over real good b/4 buying anything. I was hung up on the Fatboy and every time I visited the dealers getting prices that darn Slim kept calling to me. I'm telling you that now that I've had mine a couple months, I'm liking my decision to go with the Slim more and more. Sumbitch rides like a dream and with nothing more done to the motor except Rush pipes, this scooter hauls ***! I can't imagine what one would run like with cams,a/c and a tuner!

To be truthful you will be happy with either of the 2 you're looking at, but naturally I'd promote the Slim along with my fellow forum members!

Sit on them both, ride them both, and invision how you want it to look once you are done customizing and than decide which suits that vision and style you have in mind best.
