I just picked up my '07 NT this pastSaturday in Black Pearl, it does pop in the sun. Had to ride it 60 miles in 20 degree snow flurry weather but it was worth every mile.

I really like the Black Pearl, I saw the Pewter denim and it is cool but I like a little shine on my bike.

This is my first Harley so I am really pumped.

Peace............
First Harley and its a Nightrain! Obviously a righteous dude!

Black CherryPearl is probably my favorite for the NTbut I had a choice of only two colors, Denim Black or Pacific (Denim) Blue. AAFES (Military Exchange)doesn't get may bikes for Japan delivery so you get what they get. I choose Denim Black and whenever the Train gets through customs, I think I'm going to like it. If I don't, there are a lot of paint sets on ebay, both custom & factory.

Guys, thanks for the feedback. I have had 4 Harleys - two blue ones, a black FXLR, and a black with green flames sporty. Currently all 3 bikes in my garage (FXST, NT650, and XL250(old ds)) are blue. I am leaning towards black - no question about it. I had wondered, and the reason for my question, was how good the cherry, black pearl and pewter bikes looked since I never see them at the dealer. I really like the denim as it kind of reminds me of the hot rods my friends and I drove when I was 16 - 18 years old (I am 48, so back in the day, Roadrunners, Challengers and 67 to 69 Camaros, etc could be had for less than a grand). Last question is does the denim hold up well - a question for those of you who have them. The dealer has given me luke warm vibes about that.

I wondered about that too, and when I asked how the heck do you polisih one I was told that you have to be careful. Too much polishing or the wrong kind of polish and you can make it into a gloss finish in spots.
Not sure I buy that one, but I would be conserned that it is way too easy to mess up accidentally.
Besides I think Harley's in general look better with a high gloss paint finish.
Flat colors should be left to thedirt bikes thatrarely if ever get waxed.
But justneed agoodhose job to get themud off their coloredrubberizedand plastic "tins".

I have 920 miles on my black denim train. Not bad for 2 1/2 weeks, huh? The paint job is holding up a lot better than I thought. I haven't washed it yet. The night I drove it home it was wet and cold. It got pretty dirty. Itseems to bealmost self cleaning. I just kind of rubbed the dirt off. I was afraid it would scratch really easy, but I haven't had an issue with scratching yet. We'll see how it looks in a few months, though. The pipes are kinda dirty and could use a polish. But I'm lazy and I'd rather ride than clean. It's going in for it's 1000 mile service tomorrow morning.

I'm partial to the Pewter Denim finish myself, but I'm also going for added visibility. I like the blacked-out engine and drivetrain, but I like the riding position more, so I'd opt for a more visible paint job. Plus I really like the look of the Pewter Denim.

I got the black cherry pearl. looks black from a distance, then close up or in bright sun you can see the cherry come out a bit
