Default Tire Wet???

Is there anything that can be safely used to shine up those sidewalls? I had a crotch rocket back in the day and I put the swingarm brackets on to be able to use the swingarm lift, had to use WD40, overspray got on the tire and didn't notice it; however, I did notice it 5 miles later, whole left side of the bike gone. That little mistake cost about 2 grand, and I would hate to see what it would cost on my HD...

I have always used Armor All, not the best idea, just keep it away from the treads. I spray it on a rag and just do a couple inches of the wall. Better than nothin.

You can use any sidewall treatment. Just be careful when you apply it. I would suggest putting it on a rag to apply and be careful not to let it run onto the tread. I do it all the time like this and have never had an issue. I had a buddy that armor all'd the whole rear tire on a crotch rocket. I don't know how he didn't wreck.

Most armorall type products wouldn't be nearly as slippery/dangerous as wd 40 would they? Seems they go away almost immediatly when you hit the road. I know you never use any of the stuff on a snowmobile seat! You can always tell the new guys, great humor.
