Im serious , i need to get this bike going ,And i did see some pics of bikes straped to a lift , may try that got it off the ground , for now....Pretty scarry that bike heavy , trying to do all this by myself.....Im getting used to it each time i mess with it , detailed every inch i could so to see everything and get her clean

Removing the tank is pretty simple. Once the fuel line is off, pull the bolts front and rear, check for a crossover line ( don't know where that is on that model) and lift.

Tomorrow go to a Harley Dealer, ( or online,) and get yourself the Service Manual for that bike. $65 well spent and you'll use it repeatedly on your project.

Congrats on the new bike. Don't let it fall over on you when you're messing with it. As you said it's a heavy bike and we wouldn't want your next post to be from the hospital.

Thats Great Thanks ,Crossover Line is in the front, it has the pinch clamps sure hate to lose em .and whats the other half of the tank ?Im getting the book asap so thats good ill get the tank off and send picks , and the key box whats the deal with that ? i have no key ..
