I've ordered optional bars for my Breakout. They are 12" high but come with a lower riser giving an overall height increase of about 10 1/2 ". I expect this will look good, allow for a more upright riding posture and render the Breakout's stock mirrors functional. Anyone out there have this setup ? Pictures ?
Hope you took into consideration the stock riser of the Breakout has the dummy lights and the speedo.... if you change out your riser, you will lose them....what's your plan?
Didn't think of that, just left the bar conversion to the dealer who advised regarding the riser when he spec'd out the new bars. The bars etc. are cataloged as a Breakout option but are backordered. I'll check on this today,, thanx tgrisko !!
No, you should be fine. The kit they are sourcing for you should be the CVO Breakout risers with the small apes. Here is a video on Youtube of a bike with it.
Just a note though...those risers have been on back order for months. I'm not sure how that applies to the kit, or which orders they fill first, but you could be in for a little wait. Please post back here when they receive the parts.
24v.... I didn't even think of the CVO.... thanks for clearing that up. I do remember seeing a slight difference in the riser, but never really paid that much attention. Makes perfect sense though. How much lower of a riser is on the CVO.... the speedo sits quite close to the tank on the standard BO... so I couldn't imagine it being just a lower riser without some 'rise' built in to the speedo housing for tank clearance....

The standard Breakout risers curve back towards the rider and have quite a bit of rise. The CVO Breakout risers are short, and go straight up, no pullback.
