Default Brawler solo seat on '07 deluxe ?

Hi all,

Thinking of getting the brawler seat for my 07 deluxe.
My handle bar is pulled back and I am 5 foot 9.
On the stock seat I feel too close and want tosti a bit more from the tank.
Tho the stock one looks real good, I could use a little more comfort.
Besides that, I want a solo seat.

Will the brawler seat be of any use?

Other suggestions for other seats?

Thks in advance and greetz from Holland,

Jeroen

Hmmmppfff
No one has a deluxe with a solo seat and no brawlers either...
Hard to believe
The stealer says: go for the brawler
Makes me suspicious :-)

I have a seat from a Fat Boy that looks close to stock and is hands down more comfortable. My max to date is 9 hours on it straight with no problems. It makes me sit more "in" the bike than "on" it and I sit farther back and lower by a couple inches. They're easy to pick up on here for cheap. HTH.

Don't get a Brawler! Been there, done that! It is a crappy seat. It looked good on my bike, but made my *** ache after about 30 minutes. If all you do is ride to bike night and back home go for it. Any serious riding....forget about it!

Check out C&C seats. I went with a solo from them. Night and day difference compared to the Brawler. Great guys to deal with-they will build it the way you want it. Reasonable prices. Sold the Brawler on Flea Bay and never looked back.

I had my stock seat reworked. I watched threads for over a year and seeing guys buy 1,2, 3 seats scared me away from buying a new one. This way I got what I wanted. I could go to the shop and stop him and make changes and there was no shipping back and forth. We got it right the 1st time and I couldn't be happier. Before after 30 minutes on my bike my tailbone was hurting so bad I couldn't stand it. Now, no pain.

THKS guys,
Okay.. so NO Brawler that is.
a Fatboy seat can be picked up here rather cheap too. Is it easy to install on the deluxe? will it fit?
@tony i see a lot of people getting seat after seat and still complain about lower back and tailbone. just dont want to become one of them.

ut

The Fatboy seat will fit on the Deluxe. My wife has a 2011 Deluxe and I have an 07 Fatboy. We have swaped seats. They are fairly interchangeable. I recently sold my stock Fatboy seat on eBay for $57 plus shipping. It was in great shape. It was comfortable for about 2 hours of riding, but no more. Maybe I just have an overly sensitive a$$! (not much natural padding!)
I got an Ultimate seat for long rides and the C&C solo for around town rides. I guess everybody is built a little different....

Same frame & mounting points. Fit's like a glove, no different than the stock seat (as long as you stay within the same year range for the bikes). Best part is unlike some of the other seats mentioned, if you don't care for it you're not out much and can resell it for what you pay for it. Then, if you like where it puts you on the bike, you can always have a company like C&C redo it with gel or whatever. Hope that helps. Mine is comfy enough make the 1500 mile trek to/from SoCal without the need to improve it. But, (as I've been told) I'm a hard-***! LOL.

hmmm. strange question to ask yourself "what kinda a$$ am/have I" ... dunno..
I love those C&C' seats, wonder if I can order from Europe. I will send them an email.
Also buying a fatboy seat here and try it out won't hurt - or maybe it will in some places ?
Thanks for all your input, I just want to be comfortable for longer rides.
We go to Faaker See meeting in Austria next year..
