Default Breakout Handlebar Swap

So I'm working on putting a new set of bars on my 2014 Breakout, and am wondering about the wiring. Is there a plug somewhere to unplug that goes to the hand controls so I can pull the wires out of the bars? Not seeing anything....do I have to pull the gas tank off or just cut the wires?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

There is a plug on either side of the frame under the gas tank for the hand controls and signals. There is also a plug under there for the speedo. Then you should be able to pull the wires out the ends of the bars. Do not cut any wires, it is not necessary.

Found em. Thanks.

Got everything mocked up, now need to figure out throttle cable and brake line lengths. Any recommendations on where to buy?

Can this be done without draining the tank and d/c the fuel lines?

Yes, just remove the bolt at the back of the tank, and the front. Lift the tank up and slide it back as much as you can. Beware of the clamps on the crossover line though. They will drag across the top of your front rocker box cover if you are not careful. I just wedged a piece of cardboard between them.
