Long Ride Shields area a good option for a good price. I have a 20" on mine, but you can get a 16" shield from them which would be about 2" shorter than your stock shield. They usually offer a HD Forum discount.
+1 on the LRS option.
I started off with the H-D 18" quick detach and it was just a little too tall - the top edge was directly in my line of sight.
So I switched over to the LRS 16" recurve in light tint.
The curve at the top offers the same protection as the flat 18" H-D screen.
Couldn't be happier, the quality is outstanding...
