Default EVO Era Softail Frame Differences

I'm planning a build and looking for info on the differences between the EVO era FL and FX softail frames. I'm working on a vintage 1946 EL look powered by an 80ci. Any info would be appreciated.

Frames for an FL or FX Evo would be the same. The difference is the front ends. FL's have 16" front tire. FX has a 19" or 21" skinny tire.

V-Twin makes a Spring set up, and I believe the Pogo set up for an evo frame.

Let me see if I can locate the link.

V-Twin does make one. Required some drilling and tapping. Looking for the part number.

Black Seat T and Piston Kit
VT No: 31-0688
OEM No: N/A

Fits:
FXST 1984-1999
FLST 1986-1999
Seat and piston kit includes black T, cylinder with internal spring, nose mount and related hardware. Drilling and tapping of frame required.

84-85 Softail frames are completely different animals...set-up for 4 speed and shovel primary...they are also 1/2 narrower than 86 up because they still had chain drive.
