Spoked Wheels

The spokes on my Heritage are starting to look bad. Anything out there to make them shinny? What's a fair price to pay for a stock wheel but with chrome spokes?

I polished up a badly oxidized brass spitoon with it nearly a year ago and it still looks like it would belong to a high class saloon.

Your stock wheels have cadmium plated spokes. Nothing will make the shiny. If you rub on them and wear the cad off, they will rust. I'd skip on getting new wheels with chrome spokes. You will be fighting rust on the spokes in no time. If you really want to make them stand out, have them relaced with some Landmark stainless diamond spokes. They look great when rolling and the light hits them.

one thing I found that works really well on polishing up most chrome and aluminum bits and pieces is a paste style jeweler's rouge. I used some wright's silver polish on my buddys rear belt gaurd that was pretty gross with a few surface rust spots and it came out as good as new with no visible scratching/etching.

another great inexpensive cleaner / rust remover is Naval Jelly (the pink stuff).

Somebody turned me on to Mother's Billet Creme. Not cheap, about 14 bux for a little jar, but it takes the rust off and makes it shine. Worked for me.
