Well I guess I should put this up.
I'm not new to the forum, but new to softails now.
Traded my sportster for a 97 softail custom. Haven't gotten to ride it much (damn snow) but the times I have, man it's comfortable and roomy. Only two things I am sure I wanna change at some point are the intake and bars.
There are plenty of things I need to learn about this thing. A bit different than the sporty lol
The softail custom is one of my favorite softails. Congrats on it. The only two things I don't like about that one is the bars and the intake and you said you plan to change both so that about covers it. I'd think about lowering it as well. Have a ball with it!
I wouldn't rush out to change anything on it. The hypercharger is definitely dated, they were the **** in the late 90s! I kinda like the bars. Softail Custom is a sweet ride!
I take that back, I would change the sissy pad with quickness. It looks like an old sofa cushion...LOL Just bustin' your *****; that's a sweet ride man!
Good for you man. I don't even have to know anything about your previous Sporty to believe you got the better end of that deal. You'll love that Softail for sure!
I've been trying to unload mine so I can pick up Evo FXR, hopefully I'll find one soon.
