Perhaps that's why it has such nice reviews.

I've been researching sound options and one on my list systems is the Cycle Sounds Rock Box.
http://www.cyclesounds.com/bagger-au...rce-wired.html

What I don't understand is why are these systems so expensive?
The J&M is only two speakers/integrated mini amps and some wiring.

Hell the Harley's Boom Audio is only two speakers and a remote amp and even it's $400.
It does say "Harley" on it so that explains about 20% of the cost.

I really have to question if tunes while I ride is worth that much!!!
I've been watching this thread, and this is my dilemma too. Would it be nice to have some sort of tune system on the Heritage? Yes. Is it worth paying 1/2 way to 1000 bucks getting there? Not so much yet. I enjoy the wind and the road noise so for now it will have to suffice I think. There are some nice systems in this thread though.

The only advice I can give is to make sure with whatever 6.5 speakers u use, that the mounting ring is trimmable. Different models have different mounting ring sizes and different materials used. For example, I bought a specifc 6.5 focal model. I have the model number if u need it. My buddy bought 6.5 focals but a different model. The outer mounting ring was a cheaper plastic and he wasnt able to trim them. Had to exchange for the model im running.

Patharly, here you go bro, I found some pictures I had when I was fitting different speakers into the headlight buckets to determine which one worked best. You can see just how much I had to trim by the overhang of the outer mounting ring over the edge of the buckets.

Then here is the pictures of the aftermath with the outer mounting ring trimmed and the headlight outer ring fitted and screwed on.

And lastly, here is the volume control that is part of the Ipod to amp system i ordered. Mounted it right next to shotgun shock controls. Easy place to control the volume when rolling around.

Figured I would throw in one more photo for the thread. This is my buddy's deluxe that we did the same system install for. He installed his after hearing mine.

Here you go http://www.jpcycles.com/product/3100502 Its just the headlight shell and trim ring so you don't have to pay for the headlamp itself. Save some cash for an item that isn't going to be used.
