I want to get my wife a sound system for her Softail Deluxe. Everything I have seen with handlebar mounted speakers seems to suck at highway speed....what's everybody using that you can hear on the highway???
I also have been looking at an audio system for my Heritage.
I've looked at the boom audio that you link to, but I like my windshield bag as well so I'm a bit torn. Also with the speakers directly in front of me, I'm not sure my passenger will be able to hear well.
I've also been looking at Cycle Sounds "Rock Box".
It's the same price as the boom audio, but it has FM which I think I'd like.

Whatever you decide on, post a follow-up so we know what you decided on.
Thanks,
My wife rarely takes a passenger so that would not be a problem....as for having to give up the windshield bag--that she has a problem with so she is still deciding. Whatever happens she won't be riding for a few months since we have lots of snow in NY right now.....but I will post a review in the spring.
Nostalgia windshield??? Here is a pic...is this the shield you mean?
Yup. The cross bar on the "nostalgia" windshield is curved downward. All of the other windshields in the Harley Accessories catalog have a straight crossbar. The outer mounting holes on the Boom! speaker thing only line up with the straight cross bars. Believe me, I tried.
