I relocated my plate with a Heartland Swingarm Mount. My question is if any other Rocker guys have done this and removed the stock mount. Right now I have the bracket off, but the light and chrome housing are still there. I am wondering how big the hole underneath it might be? Will the fender be discolored? Has anyone come up with a solution besides changing out the fender?
Thanks!
I used a chromed Harley Davidson emblem meant for a Ford HD version.
I got it off ebay and the guy sold them at the time flat or pre-curved.
The curve was more for mounting it on a oil tank, so I had to remove some of the curve to follow the lines of the fender. It covered the holes left except for the top one. I used a button hole plug from Ace Hardware to fill it.
The emblem is mounted with 3M tape and it still holding no problem years later.

The shop I took it to charged me $450 to cut it and paint it. I just unbolted the fender and took it to them (lights removed) and showed them where I wanted it cut. It throws a bigger rooster tail in water but i am happy with it.
