recently installed a fuelpak model LED on my 2008 Heritage Softail.
After about 500-miles, it failed. I was a long way from home on a two lane road, and luckly coasted to a spot with just enough room to get the bike off the pavement.
Everything was running fine, and then the bike just shut down. Tied to start it back up, but nothing - - turned everything off, then back on, and could hear the fuel pump running. I again tried to start it, but no go.
I removed the fuelpak, plugged the stock set up together, and the bike started just fine.
Anybody had this happen? And if so, what was the solution?
I will contact Vance & Hines in the morning to see what they have to say.
Thanks,
Balloo
With all manufacturing, especially electronics, there will be a percentage of failures. You unfortunately got a bad unit. V&H is a stand-up company and will replace your unit. My Fuel Pak has been operating for 6 years.
