I'd put some Big City Thunder-Thunder Monsters in there or the QQ baffles and add some tips from Barons. I love the 2 1/4 diameter pipes I had on my Softail.
Nice i thought it could be done , when I emailed Samson with the question Jennifers response was NO, and that my only option was torque cones , sometimes i wish an experienced tech with modifying experience would answer these questions . thanx charlie

I had the first generation Samson Rip Saws on my bike, about 5 years ago. They were very loud so I tried everything to quiet them a little.
At that time there was hardly anything that was on the market that would fit.
Drag pipes are designed to run without baffles, so they are smaller in dia.
Mine were 1-3/4" OD
Your post states 2-1/4" to my limited knowledge they wouldn't be drag pipes and you shouldn't have a problem finding various baffles to install in 2-1/4" pipes.
Tom
I have a set of samson street sweepers and installed krome werks HP baffles. The pipe itself is 1-3/4" and I think with the heat shields they look like 2 or 2-1/4" pipes. The HP baffles did not quiet them much but did take the higher ear splitting tone out of them.
I've got some Samson Hell Raisers on the way and if the stock baffles are too obnoxious even for me I'll try the BCT's to tone them down a bit with a deeper growl vice a higher pitch. The actual pipe diameter should be 1 3/4" on the OP's pipes with the heat shield making it overall 2 1/4".
The Thunder Torque inserts from DKCustoms is another option. Very inexpensive, nice rumble at idle, loud when you twist it, and pretty quiet at cruise.
Yeah its hard to tell if there s a heat shield or thats just a straight pipe but on the website it states that they are 2 1/4 I know on my 4 inch samsons there is no heat shield just a 4 inch muffler with a baffle inside. But they are heavy as hell so maybe they have double wall or just heavier gauge steel. thanx for all the input , there are some good ideas here, ill probably just get them and see what i have to do to get a little back pressure out of them.
Thought I would chime in here. If it's the M-232 Straight Cut slip on's you're inquiring about they are made out of 2 1/4" pipe not 1 3/4".
You could easily modify them to install a baffle if you wanted to. You would just have to drill a hole in the bottom side of the muffler where you wanted the baffle to be and use a 1/4 20 button head for the baffle we make which would be either A-116 or A-118.
The DK Thunder torque inserts from DK would also be very easy to install on these pipes.
