I've ran across a Blaster bike dryer ad that says its better to use a Blaster dryer because for one thing an electric dryer used for leaves and other uses around tha house is harmful to the paint on a bike. I've got such a wax and polish build up until water just rollls or anyway with very little blowing. Any one that has a blaster notice any difference.
I have both and the Blaster works better, It's makes less noise, heats the air and is better at directing the air. On the down side, it's hard to justify the price. I bought mine on e-bay for slightly less than MSRP.
If it's 75 or 80 degrees out, why would I need heated air?I can't see hoe a blaster could be better. They're both (blaster/leaf blower) taking outside air and forcing it out at a high pressure. And with the blower I can do my yard.
if you use a vacuum just get one of the tapered down nozzles and it dries like one of the "made formotorcycle" dryers for 150.00 less. Stinger vac at Lowes 26.00. Dries my bike in 10 min. Never understood the heat thing. You're blowing water off of metal.Niether one could give a **** about that little bit of heat those things generate. Save your money.
I just bought a Blaster. Don't kid yourself, there is no close substitute.
It's that good....
It blasts out water from all of the impossible spots, and after a couple minutes, you hardly need a towel at all.
Do yourself a favor if you order, get the extra 10" of hose and the wall mount.
I'd think a leaf blower would potentially blow some pretty sizable particles at your painted and chrome surfaces. Purpose built blowers are better filtered to only allow air through. So I suppose the moral of the story is to find something that works for you with the right amount of airflow but without big romper room size debris mixed in.
I use a cone nozzle on my air compressor. I can adjust the output pressure down enough to blow water but not harm anything. Air from compressor is pure - no debris.

That's what I use, already have the compressor/tank so why buy something else.
