[:@]I picked up my nice shiney, newly chromed forks from the chromer last week, took them 4 weeks to get them done, when Idropped them offI was told it was going to be a week. Itook this afternoon off to install the forks, took the front end apart for the install, got everything back together perfect. Went to get the tire and axle on (last part of the process) and low and behold it dont fit! The fricken chromer gave me another fork off a older bike, I know the 07's are different than the prior years, I'm certain the ones I gave them is not the same as theones I picked up. this was not a exchange, lots of work for nothing.now Im pissed.....

Damm I would be furious! I would make them reimburse you for the time and supplies lost. Your going to have to rebuild the right forks again once you get them back from that shop.

Damn 07deluxe...I'd be seriously irritated! Sorry, man!

Good luck in getting this issue resolved!

Something similar happened when we were changing out the sliders on my buddies Heritage. He had purchased a set of take-offs for chroming. Waited 2 weeks for them to get chromed, picked them up and went to work pulling the front end apart. We didn't bother to unwrap the new ones until we were ready for them. The chromer had given us a set of sliders for a touring bike and shippedthe softail ones to a dealership in Kansas somewhere. He made it right though, he paid him for the take-offs and had the originals chromed for us the next day. Honest mistake and he felt bad about it.

Here is another close-close up shot. You can see the cut outs on the inside of the beer cans.

Thank you very much. My bike is still dirty from the install. There is a haze over most of the front end chrome. I'm going to wash her then take better picts.
