Hi I am trying to find a race tuner to put on my 06Classic. I am putting anew stage 1 air cleaner and exhaust on my bike.I went to three dealers in my area all had the same answer. We are out of stock maybe in a month. WHAT!!! Does anyone live in the south florida area know where I could pick one up or even if you dont live in the area know where I could order one from? Any help would be great. Tired of Sounding like a moped!!!!
I'm having the same problem trying to obtain a race tuner for my 07 Deluxe up here in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I have my V&H duals sitting in the garage and all my other parts are sitting on a shelf at Shumate HD in Spokane, WA. I've waited over a month and as of last week the race tuner is back ordered until the end of April My parts guy said he called every HD shop in the U.S. and can't track one down. I guess I'll just have to wait it out.
Hi I was asking around and all the dealers say about the same thing none until may--Maybe. I looked on V&H Website and seen they had something called a fuelpak. My question is are they the same as a race tuner and will they work with pipes other than V&H Pipes? I have Sampson Big gunss III Rip Saws Went on that website and they dont sell anything. Is there any other option besides the S.E.R.T that wont void the warrenty?
Your options are wide open there is pcIII dfo list goes on,but correct me if I am wrong, cant you go to the dealer and get a download to match what your putting on? Thats what I did on my 05 heritage it cost about $130 if I remember right ,unless your plan more upgrades that is cheapest way to go,and no those will not void your waranty unless they cause the damage..
I asked about the PC and they told me they do not recommend it that it could serge and if that happens it would void warrenty. I dont know how ture that is but I am going on what they say.
...,but correct me if I am wrong, cant you go to the dealer and get a download to match what your putting on?
I was told tuner was a better deal because it is customized to your bike. Download is a one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter thing. Tuner is set up to YOUR bike. Also easier to make changes down the road.
South Florida here!! Did you try Peterson's? I would think you have but I just called them about tuning my bike (07 train) using their dyno and screaming eagel tuner and install the new pipes i'm going to orderand they said they could get me right in. If that helps you any.?
I just put the Dobeck Performance (http://www.dobeckperformance.com/) unit on my '07 Deluxe with the V&H true duals and Ness Big Sucker kit. I had their older unit on my '05 Deuce that I was able to tune from the Stage 1 (V&H BSS + Ness BS) to the Stage II when I had the 95" kit installed. Their new unit is very simple to intall (about 15 minutes) and much easier to adjust. All electronic now. Bike sounds great and no glitches. I know there are several versions on the market, but I've had good luck with Dobeck x2.
