2011 Harley Blackline just swapped the rear for a 200mm and the front has the 23x130. Installed a DBI 2" drop in lowering kit which at the moment is only lowered 1 3/4" I'm thinking I'm going to chop the pvc spacers another 1/4" to get the full 2" drop. After the 23" front swap I now noticed when around 20-30 mph or letting off the throttle at high speed and slowing down the front end seems to bounce. By bounce I mean a constant up and down as if you were hitting continuous cracks in the road. If I had to guess I'd say somewhere like 4 bounces per second. Very short but continuous and nothing that really makes me think there is a big issue, but it's definitely noticeable. Big question is whats making the bouncing feeling, is it the wheel/tire or the lowering kit? Or both??? My other thought is I had issues finding a shop to mount the 23 and when I finally had the last shop succeed I guess I just assumed they balanced it as well. There is no wheel weights on it so maybe its just out of balance?

Sounds like an out of balance tire, Try getting some dyna beads or the new stuff guys are running called ride on your squirt it in and run it it will balance out the tire. Are you running a tube in the front tire? Just curios because those DNA wheels are nortorious for leak down.
Def sounds like it needs to be balanced. Don't know how long ago you put the new springs in but keep in mind that they may settle a lil bit as you ride. Just a thought.
Tire out of balance and/or incorrect amount of fork oil. ie no dampening
Or, maybe its because of the large 23" and a dropped front end that removed 1/2 of the suspension. haha I just looked up the DBI kit. Only $50? Man, dont expect too much from that setup.
Put her up on the lift tonight and gave it a spin to do the poor mans balance. The pad was hanging up on the outside and causing it to stop in the same spot every time. Spread the pads and spun it freely and it seems completely balanced from this aspect. Took it out for a ride and being in MN its tough to find good roads but from the ones I found it seems like the caliper was hanging up. I'll see what happens when I can go on a longer ride again. I'm assuming the wheel is slightly out of balance but the I'm thinking the big issue was the caliper grabbing making the repetitive bounce and when I'd get above 40 it would be spinning fast enough to pull past it without grabbing. I'll keep you guys posted but I appreciate all the input!
