Default 2007 Buying Quesion

I am going to be purchasing a new HD Softail (still trying to decide on the model) within the next 60 days. My questions is what type of a price under the suggested retail can I expect to negotiate with a dealer? The bike will be purchased in Norhern Florida. Thanks

Good luck with that. It's springtime (well, kinda), MSRP is about as good as you'll probably be able to do. Oh, and...think FATBOY!

If you want a deal you'll have to wait until the '08s are in, and the dealer is has a sale on what's left over from '07

I bought a Heritage about a month ago during the strike. I put a deposit down on a Sat afternoon, there were 7 or 8 on the floor. The following Thursday there were 2 left. The following week 0 and none since. Last week dealer told me factory was still backed up and cutting all dealers orders by 5 (order 10, they get 5).
So if you're looking for a Heritage I'd say MSRP and whatever free goddies you can get.
This was without a doubt a fast purchase that I do not regret waiting longer to make.

Thanks for the input, so it sounds like there is not much room for a dealer to move off of the MSRP. maybe I can go for some goodies. Not sure what model, but I really like the Fatboy but the Heritage is not much more than the Fatboy, and you get the bags, windshield, etc.

I agree with the rest on this one. This time of year it would be hard to beat MSRP, throw in the strike causing limited supply of different models and the dealers my start jacking the price up. [:@]
