I bought my Heritage in July '07.

 

Dealer intro is generally in early July. Bikes hit the showrooms in late July/early August.

 

I ordered my 07 early July 06 and picked up my 07 Deluxe mid August.

 

I was at the dealer today, and was told that the Softail Standard, the Deuce, the Road King Custom, and a Dyna and a V Rod were being killed off for '08.

 

It will be interesting to see what happens.

 

I wouldn't believe your dealer Harley is pretty tight lipped until the dealer show in July.

 

i can see them getting rid of the softie standard, hell i mostly see softie customs and night trains

I really like the RK Custom, but I guess with 3 different models of the same bike (classic, custom, and regular RK) they can afford to cut one.

 

I'll vouch for how tight lipped things can be. My house is about 300 yards from the Rushmore Civic Center where the unvailing of the 07s took place last year. One evening I noticed the HD trailers roll into town and decided to do some snooping. Usually the Civic center is open to the public but almost all the doors were locked that night. I wandered in while they were setting up displays and I lasted about 15 seconds before security shoved me back out the door I walked in.
