Default DumbAss Maintenance

OK...seriously I am a pretty proficient DIY mechanic. However I do tend to enjoy tequila in the process. I have managed to keep my 05 Heritage running nicely thru 89 K miles. Preparing for the Poker Run to Key West I decided to change my drive belt. Long story short. Did all the good stuff... engine wouldn't crank. Thought maybe I had the starter misaligned so I tore everything apart again. Didn't see any issues. Knew I was due a battery so I picked up a new one. Engine wouldn't turn over. Pulled the primary and stared at it long enough to realize I didn't remove the sprocket locking tool. Moral of the story...don't drink and maintain.

Pendleton Whisky did it for me, drained fluids twice to take a look around inside only to discover bad battery after total makeover and maintenance.
I took it as a "learning experience"' I've "learned" much more drinking than not, AND had more fun doing it :-)

The Greatest whisky on the planet! I have 2 bottles of the 2010 Director's Reserve 20 year, and 1 bottle of the 2005 20 year waiting for my upcoming retirement date! It has been an exercise in self control to keep those un-corked all these years.

CHIP HAZARD - Well I guess it was worth doing, because I drank both times I fixed it! And nothing blew up on my 84 mile round trip commute today.
