Thieving ba$t%#!*
I own a Harley and love this bbs so even tho this is O/T maybe mods can leave it here for my home crowd to view...
I'm on a job today for about 5 hours and as I'm finishing I see a punk in a beater car parked by my work truck. I know this isn't good because of where I park and I always keep an eye out because I'm always loaded with equipment. I start walking towards it to get a better look and the punk drives to the side of my truck and I start to run. Now I'm 6'2", about 210, and in pretty good shape but I have 200 yards to cover uphill through a parking lot and I'm carrying stuff. Did I mention that my right knee isSHOT and I broke my little toe on my left foot about two weeks ago?
Well I get about 40 yards from this car and the punk starts driving off and although I don't think that he saw me at this point, I got close enough to get his tag and had already called the Matthews police and was telling the dispatcher his tag number through my gasps for breath. The punk gets caught at the redlight so off running I am again, well not running, kind of stumbling forward. I'm hoping to catch him and drag him from his car but the light changes and he drives off again.
I'm still on the phone with the dispatcher and am telling her where to send a police car to intersect with this car. The police dept is two blocks from the job and all they had to do was send a car from the station out the back entrance and the guy would come to them. Dispatch girl has to have info before anything else.
Punk gets away with only gas cans because I lock everything down with Kryptonite cables on my truck. An officer comes to see me and I ask him why someone could not come from the station to intersept this guy and he says that no one was there! I work another job across from the Police dept and there is cops there all of the time.
Tag number of said punk is a SC plate so I ask are ya'll going to go get him? Nope, can't do anything because he's from SC but they'll make a phone call.
I was going to go see my friend the Chief but he wasn't in but did see a cop that I know that has a Harley and he filled out a report for me and just basically told me that probably nothing would happen about this.
So this punk gets about $30.00 worth of gas and cans, costs me a couple of hours, and I have to buy new cans and gas and the police can't do anything about it.
Is this a bunch of BS or what. I don't care about the cost, this low life needs his attitude adjusted bigtime! GOD I wish that I could have run a little faster! Dragging him from his car at the redlight and kicking the sh!/crap out of him is what he deserved. No wonder crime is so bad. They don't punish little stuff so punks just progress until they do some real damage.
I went to the gym tonight. Me and the treadmill baby!

A few months ago I walked into the radio shack on Independence, near HD of charlotte. I was just feeding myself eye candy. I'm always messing with gadgets and such. Anyhoo... When I got there I parked my company bucket truck right next to the building. All the spots on the frontside where taken. I can see the side of the rear on my truck, from inside the store. With no worries I went inside and looked around. As I come out of the store looking at a pamphlet on GPS' I see something out of the corner of my eye, near my truck. I look up to see two idiots attempting to detach the generator from the back of my truck. I yelled as I ran toward them, "mother f%$^%^'s". They looked at me and ran toward therecar, got in and sped off. A burgundy Honda Accord with S.C. tags. I'll never forget that car nor the two damn crackheads. They had troublefiguring out the ties wich held the generator in place. I use these stranded preforms we use at work to tie the generator down. To the average Joe, the preform needs to be looked at for a minute tolearn how it is untied. Good thing they ran, is all I have to say. Probably best for the both of us.
I'm with you Snort. Damn thieving mother f'ers!!

I feel your pain, A thief is LOW LIFE, the lowest there is. I have had my personal belonging taken from me before also. I try not to bea violent person but If you workhard like me to get what you want and some Idiot Bas%#** takes it, well all I can say is if I get my hands on him, I will be his worst nightmare.. Anyways you got his plate # find out who he is, then make your plans, he cant be too far from you. Dont put your self in a bad situation but see if you can get some satisfaction.
Matthews has a police department!!!!!!!! Dang, I lived there for 20+ years and never got any cooperation from them! Don't know what they do but they don't police! Ooooops, sorry not trying to steal this thread. Yet thieves suck! I'm with yah, luv 2 kick their ***! My brother in law is the chief in Mooresville, give me the tag number and maybe................we could take a ride! Did I post that?! Nawwwwwwwwwww!
I hate a freakin' thief! I've had tools stolen out of my shop before and it is not a good feeling when it happens![:@]
The only time I've caught one in the act of stealing was at a local Bi-Lo store. Paula and I come around the end of one isle and see this guy standing at the meat counter stuffing packs of steaks in his pants.
Paula KNOWS how I am and the first thing out of her mouth was "don't you do it!"
Well, all I did was give the guy a mean look. He turns his head and finally sees me staring at him. He took off running for the front door...dropping packs of meat as he went.
I told the manager about it and he said "let him go...it's not worth it". My response was "that's because I, and every one else who shops here, pays for the stuff he steals!" [:@]

I was on a job site in Dallas a few years back where they had to put all the welding machines on pallets, and raise them up in the air with the cranes to stop thieving! (that's was after they had lost 20 welders) Crack heads are the worst....and what's funny is, they ALWAYS have a buyer! If we were trying to sell the stuff, we might have to sit on it for months...those guys turn it around in one day! [:@]

We've had a BIG increase in scum bags stealing copper wire/pipe in this area. One of the local churches had all of their roof-top A/C units stripped of all of the copper pipe!
Two idiots got caught trying to steal a large spool of brand new copper wire (that large diameter stuff..."OO" I think they call it) that was so big and heavy they had to use a forklift to pick it up. The Sheriff in that county was on the TV news saying how sad it was that a recycler would accept a brand new spool of copper wire KNOWING full well that it HAD to be stolen![&:]
