Post Your Pictures and Stories of the 2nd Annual HDF SW Rally and 3rd Annual Green Chili Run
Bill asked me to post this and pin it to the top of this section so everyone could see and hear what a great time everyone had on this year's run. \\;

I just got home after a 375 mile run today so I don't have anything ready to post yet other than to say we had a great time. \\; Hung out with old friends from past rides, and met some really good new people.
 \\;
I think we all came away with a new impression of Denny's.
 \\; Much more on that later I'm sure.

Damn Bill, you covered some ground pretty fast. We're sitting in the hotel in Flagstaff. Had dinner at Black Bart's, sat in the spa for a bit and now just relaxing. I have to agree about riding with old friends, and making new ones. Really a great group of folks we had on this trip. Denny's is off the boycott list as long as it has a bar.
I got back to QC a couple of hours ago, it was a great run down here. I really enjoyed this year's Chili Run and look forward to staying in touch with new friends.
Are you guys actually going to talk about Denny's?

I didn't meet any old friends but I sure made a lot of new ones. My 2 1/2 days and 917 miles spent with the gang was tremendous. I hope we can get together again. I got home shortly after 7:30 PM Friday night.
Oh I thought we agreed not to talk about Dennys?

Denny's MUST be talked about. Everyone needs to know what Paul (TexasBowhunter) and Rita (Mrs. TexasBowhunter) do in their spare time.They must pratice a lot to be that good.
Not only that, but \\;as many pictures as Brenda and Net took, do you really think that we're not going to see the competition??
 \\;
I'm just waiting for everyone to get home before I start.

You are right about covering some ground on the ride home.Bill set the pace we left Cameron at about 3:30PM and was home in Bloomfield at about 8:00PM. You are right about ridding with old friends and meeting new ones. Mary and I really enjoyed the group this year. DENNY'S will be talked about by all who were there.

What a great ride this year...I didn't know that Arizona was such a diverse and beautiful state! \\; We left the east gate of the Grand Canyon at about 11:30, had lunch in Flagstaff and left town at 2:00 p.m. local time. \\; We did 480 miles that day and pulled into Albuquerque at 9:00 MDT...a hotel never looked better to these old eyes. \\; We left at 9:00 a.m. and got into Pueblo at 3:00 p.m. \\; My odometer registered 2470 miles when I pulled into my driveway.

First, I have to thank Bill and Steve for pulling off a great ride...you guys found the neatest roads and towns for us to visit. \\; Second, all the riders for joining in, riding hard and sharing laughs every evening...this is the third year of this ride now and we've never had a sour face in the group - 'Thank You' for coming along. \\; Third, I have to thank my Bro-in-law for bringing Jake along...the kid was a real trooper and he has a lot of stories to tell his school teacher...she won't hear about Denny's though.

You know I’m never going to look at a quarter quite the same way ever again. If I ever pass one on the sidewalk, I think that I’m apt to just leave it the hell alone.
My hats off to all that had anything to do with the planning of this trip but especially to Bill and Steve for organizing a great route and awesome stops. It took me at least two hours this morning to tell my coworkers about everything that we had seen and done. I have a whole new respect for the great state of Arizona, let me tell you.
Olivia, Christina, and I left the Grand Canyon and took 89A from Flagstaff back to Sedona. I think they liked it because when we pulled into town I glanced back and saw them both with glazed eyes and big smiles. We spent the night there and then took 260 to 87 north where we were able to “stand on the corner of Winslow, Arizona”. A nice ride as well.
The return trip was not without incident however as Olivia had her rear tire go town 13 miles west of Grants, NM on our way back to Albuquerque. She called a friend of hers who had a trailer who said that they would meet us in an hour and a half. Three hours later we were back on the road and pulled into our driveway at 9pm with 2,011 on the trip OD and 10,043 on the OD. Time for service on the Glide. Weird thing is my rear tire on the Glide was completely bald. When we left, it had plenty of tread left. Man, I need to loose some weight.
We all had a great time and it was a pleasure sharing the blacktop with all of you. You all are a fun bunch of people.
