Default 72 clutch going crazy

Okay so this has happened multiple times to me and 3 fellow riderz/friends of mine on my bike alone, randomly my clutch will not disengage what so ever in the middle of riding, i can be riding all day or even just for and hour and go to clutch in before downshift and no pressure whatsoever, its gone as far as I was riding around 70mph and the clucth lever was hitting my hands from wind pushing it due to no pressure, crazy part is i can kill the bike, and turn it right back on and its all better, clutch is back to normal until it happens again spiratically n random. I ride a 2013 sportster 72
Just looking for any ideas on Wtf to fix. I know harley had the recall causing similar issues on the touring models and changed the fluid just wanting to get other opinions

The recalls were only on some of the bikes with the hydraulic clutch system. It seems that air bubbles formed in some of the clutch master cylinders. Does your bike have a clutch master cylinder?

No hydraulic clutch on sporties. How many miles on this bike? Have you done regular clutch adjustments per the manual? If all that is on the up and up, it's possible the spring plate in your clutch is starting to go out.

More information...

How many miles on the bike?
When clutch last adjusted, if ever?

The stock clutch has a rivited plate that sometimes goes apes*** around 20k miles.

You may just need to inspect(and replace if needed) your clutch cable and do a routine clutch adjustment.

Rod Robb had his cable just randomly fail... but, you'd instantly know if that happened...

If it were just an adjustment does the fact thAt it springs back to life just fine after killing and re-cranking the bike add up? No master cylinder on sporty so its odd as fck
