First off yes I am new to bikes and I spent about 45 minutes looking thru post to avoid even starting a post to ask this question, lol.
I am very mechanically inclined and not a complete idiot. Now with that being said.

I have a 2014 sportster 48. Took the handle bars and controls off. Had a set of z bars that a buddy gave me off his iron 883. However upon inspection the triple tree on the 48 is different that the 883. SOOO, I look on revzilla and a few other places for a set of bars. All the bars seem kinda generic. So the question is, what do I need to do or where do I get bars that fit?

I have a 2016 48. Any bars that are 1in. I bought a set of “Tall boys” from my dealer they are 7.75 in tall “mini apes” I like them I re used my clutch and throttle cables but I did have to get a new brake line. You can get bars about any where just make sure they are 1in and they are 48 specific. I’m sure somebody here has more technical know how than me but this is what worked for me.
